My versatility is a big selling point for those
looking for a one-stop designer who offers personalized
service. In addition to print design and illustration, I offer
logo and website design.

With a B.A. in journalism from Temple University, I briefly
worked as a writer for a small newspaper and then as an
associate editor for Successful Meetings magazine. Later, I
was appointed the magazine's art director, winning several
awards for cover design from the Art Directors Club of Philadelphia.

In 1981, I began freelancing, offering design and illustration
to a wide variety of clients. Among those illustration clients
was the Philadelphia Inquirer, where I was a regular
contributor to the Op-Ed page for several years. Another
long-term client was the Philadelphia Bar Association, where
I was the design director for its magazine, The Philadelphia
. Other clients have included everything from
advertising agencies to nonprofits.

From 1999 to 2004, I served as the art director for Farm
Journal Media, managing a four-person staff and achieved
individual and group awards for editorial and marketing design.
My redesign of Farm Journal magazine won Folio Magazine's
Ozzie award for magazine redesign in the B-to-B category.

Most recently, I won the 2014 Award of Distinction from
the Academy of Interactive & Visual Arts.
